Color Burst Coaster

Diana Hetherington from the Creative Team made this great coaster using the Color Burst Liquid Metals and the Butterfly Stamp from the Ken Oliver Studio Collection.  These would be a great gift idea and a way of adding your art to your home decor.

Diana says:

Diana here to show you a coaster that I created using liquid metals and a heat tool in a few easy steps!!

To create this piece this piece you just need to start out with a piece of Ken’s Water Media paper, drip some Liquid Metals onto the paper and then using your heat tool spread the liquid metals around.

Repeat this process by adding more liquid metals until you are happy with the background.

Stamp and cut out the butterflies from the Ken Oliver Studio collection line, gluing them and some chitchat stickers to the paper.

Cut the finished piece into a circle and mount onto a cork coaster.

Allow to dry fully before applying a top coat of Ice Resin and viola!! a totally usable piece of art!!!

The Seven Chakra's, Meditation Room Decor with Color Burst

Creative Team member Diana Hetherington has created another project for her Meditation Room, it represents the Seven Chakra's, here is Diana to tell you more...

Diana says:

I am here to share with you a very quick and easy banner to create for any occasion! I have made mine to hang in my new room downstairs ... if it ever gets finished!!!

so to begin my project I decided to use the ATC cards as i absolutely love the weight of them when creating with color burst! I painted on the colour that corresponds to the chakras. I then cut out 7 circles from the ATC cards.

As I had already printed out the 7 chakra symbols I wanted to be sure that they would stick to the circles I used Stick it.  I just pressed the symbol onto the sheet and cut out and then pressed into the centre of my circles. it was so easy and no glue stuck to my fingers!! loved it!!

I then traced around each after they were stuck with a black udi pen.

I then used my liquid metals and applying using a paint brush to the cardboard. Once dry I sewed the edges as well as strung them together, here you have it.. I plan on using this as a sign to 'do not disturb' when I am downstairs meditating!!

Cherished Moments with the Hometown Collection

Diana Hetherington from the Creative Team has created this great great layout using the Hometown Collection, PegZ Stamps and of course the indispensable Click It Ink Pads.

Diana says:

A little, let’s get back to my roots, kind of posting to share with you all today!

now don’t get me wrong, Color Burst and all things inky will be back on my agenda in the very near future, but how could I not resist playing with Ken’s Hometown Cottage Collection!
Every little piece was inked with the Click It ink pads in Lamp Black (love how they are flexible to go around anything!) and then glued and or sewn to my page.

You can see more on my blog here.

Canvas Art with Color Burst

Diana Hetherington from the Creative Team has made this stunning canvas using 12 Color Burst Colors !. You can read all about the techniques used on her blog.

Diana says:

Hello everyone! I am here today to share with you another canvas I have created as part of my 'Heart' series.  I have used 12 colors from the current color burst range and applied them using my favorite technique of just puffing and allowing the whole process to be a life of it’s own.
There was a lot of drying time between each colour and I also used a paint brush to add bits of color in the spots that my water flicking took out.

For more information about the process please visit my blog here.

See and buy the range of Color Burst product here.

Color Burst Meditation Plaque

Today Creative Team member Diana Hetherington has created a stunning mixed media project on one of the Ken Oliver Photo Mats and Color Burst.

Diana says:

Hello everyone! today I am here to share with you my very first posting as part of the Ken Oliver Creative Team. I am so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful new adventure and I have so enjoyed seeing so far what my fellow design team members have created for you!!
For my project I wanted to create something directly from my heart, (as I most always do) and I wanted it to be a piece for me to concentrate on during my daily practice of meditation. So because I was using it for that purpose I knew it had to have a special meaning to me/special quote.
I started off using one of Ken's Mixed Media Photo Mats; and let me tell you I sure put it to the test!!! you can believe me when I tell you it can take a load of water before it even thinks about warping, as you will see in my step outs on my site how I started sure isn’t how it ended. That to me is my favourite thing about creating!!!
and here is my direct link:  http://missusgmoments.com/peaceful-moments/

Thank You Diana for sharing today.
