Happy Birthday Cards with Color Burst

Giovana Smith has a treat for us today with not one but two bright and colorful Birthday themed cards to share.

Giovana says:

Hello everyone, Giovana here sharing a couple of bright and cheerful birthday cards. This time I used a super easy technique that Ken has shared several times. I started cutting my watercolor panels and then misting them with water and adding the Color Burst direct onto the watercolor paper. I added a little bit of water here and there, but just a touch, I really wanted to keep the bright colors in place. It was a lot of fun and I saved few drops on another panel, for a future project. I never waste any drops, hehehe. Have you seen Ken using the whole roll of paper towel when he is working on a project? I think I will start doing that.

Color Burst Used for eat cake card: Yellow Ochre , Lemon Yellow for the background, Sepia and Alizarin Crimson 

I used Lamp Black Ink to stamp the sentiments.

Soul Protection Canvas made with Color Burst

Hello everyone.
 Diana Hetherington from the Creative Team has astounded us this week with another project using Color Burst powders.

 She added in some clear gesso to the mix as a base and things sort of went crazy from there!!

to this in a few random easy steps using an array of color burst, a bit of deco art paint and some liquid nails!

Color Burst Cards

Jessica Frost Ballas from the creative team has brightened up our day with these gorgeous and fun cards, these certainly would make our day if they popped through the letterbox.

Jessica says:

Good morning!  Jessica here for another stencil project using Color Burst Powders.  I LOVE the effect you can achieve using Ken Oliver Color Burst powders and stencils.  I used a similar technique in a post earlier this month and my process is pretty much the same.  Instead of using specific colors with patterns in the stencil I opted for an all-over wash of bright colors.  After sprinkling the powders over the stencil I spritzed them with a water bottle and allowed the colors to mix and blend.  Once they dried I removed the stencils and then added sentiments and embellishments to finish my cards!

Valentine Projects made using Color Burst.

Nikki Davis was on the road again this weekend so had time to create some Valentine's using Color Burst.  She use a resist technique, sketching and painting to create these fun Valentines.  Lots more pictures and information over on her blog here.

I love rummaging through old photos and ephemera at antique stores, and I was delighted when I found several vintage postcards with lovely ladies in white dresses! I thought they needed a hint of color, so I decided to add a bit of pink using Color Burst!
