Color Burst Butterfly Card

Jessica Frost Ballas from the Creative Team shares a card with us today, look at the gorgeous butterfly.

Supplies Used

Color Burst Powders in Turquoise, Fuchsia, and Orchid
Liquid Metals in Yellow Gold
Color Splash 6x6 paper

Jessica says:

I sprinkled Color Burst powders onto a stamp and then spritzed it with water.  I stamped onto Water Media paper and held it for a few seconds so it had time to absorb into the paper before removing the stamp.  After it dried I painted on some gold accents with the Yellow Gold Liquid Metals.  Finally I die-cut the panel and adhered it to a background panel cut from the Color Splash 6x6 paper!

Wall Decor using Color Burst and Liquid Metals

Yvonne Blair has created this bright and fun wall decor using Color Burst and the new Liquid Metals.  This would brighten up anyone's room.

Hi Everyone, Yvonne here with a piece of home decor.

I started out by painting on Fuchsia and Tangerine Color Burst from my palette. I was kind of going for a mixed ombre look. Once it was dry, I then put a tad of the Metallic Pink on an acrylic block, picked it up with a small paint brush and splattered it on to the background. Then take a water spritzer and lightly spray a little bit of water to get the water drop marks.

Next I stamped the images with Black Click it Ink, dried and then painted the sentiment piece with Metallic Pink and the Butterflies with the Tangerine and a tad of the Liquid Metals Pink. I also painted the Metallic Pink onto some white flowers...not covering completely as I wanted some of the white to pop through for visual interest.

Now I have a cute home decor piece to hang or I could even tie it on a gift bag to be part of the gift!

Hope you enjoyed! If you don't have those yummy Liquid Metals...what are you waiting for! They are a must have, wink. Until next time!

The Mixed Media Paper by Ken Oliver is the best surface for Color Burst, they go like butter!

I used Ken Oliver - Studio Collection Clear Acrylic Stamps SET 1 to add my word and the star on the bottom of the figure shape.

Lucky / St Patrick's Day Card using Liquid Metals

Spring is in the Air and the evenings are getting longer. St Patrick's Day is almost here and Creative Team member Giovana Smith has a great card to share with us today.

Giovana Says:

Hello friends!! Happy Monday to you all. Last week I got a box full with new goodies from Ken Oliver Crafts, felt like Christmas in March, hehehe. So I decided to use my new crafty goodies to make this super fun St. Patrick's Day card.

Die-cut 9 small square piece from Ken Oliver Water Media Paper. Then, add a little drop of Yellow Gold Liquid Metals and then spread the Liquid Metal on the center of the square with a paint brush.

Cut a piece of Water Media Paper, size 4" x 6", mist it and tap the new Lime Green Color Burst. Cut a couple of strips about 0.5" and painted them with Yellow Gold and Verdi Gris Liquid Metals. Set aside to dry.

Die-cut the gold piece with a scallop die, add it behind the Verdi Gris piece, add a white strip of Water media paper and adhere them to card panel.

Stamp the clover leaves and Lucky sentiment in Kelly Green Click It Ink Pad.

Add a kraft piece of cardstock behind the panel and add stitches. Add all the squares little panels with foam adhesive.

Embellish your card with a ribbon and twine bow and drops.

And this is the card. I think it turned out super cute!!

Remember, you can find Ken Oliver Crafts products in small retailers near you!

Hope you like it.
Have a fantastic day!
